When someone relocates they often seek information about physicians, specialists, hospitals and other types of health care, such as extended care. Is there a resource in Banner Elk for health care information?

Banner Elk is 17 miles from downtown Boone, Watwauga Medical Center and Hospital and an hour away from Johnson City TN Hospitals, some of the best around.Banner Elk has some local doctors, clinics and a local pharmacy . Most residence go into Boone or surrounding areas for their healthcare. There is a hospital, Cannons located in Linville.

Banner Elk offers some of the best skiing for those who live in the south or north east area. With 5 ski resorts which offer snow boarding, skiing, tubing and ice skating this is the best place to spend a weekend. Beech Mountain is the highest city in the northeast, with a 6000 ft elevation. They also have one of the fastest lifts in the area with 15 trails swo you can ski shorter runs but faster.
